Our Story |
|
Hammer Malt was founded by Keith and Jennifer Woynorowski as a division of our 4th generation family farm. It is built on a foundation of determination and hard working family members. There has never been a job too big or too small for us to handle. This includes the construction of our grain handling facilities, our homes, our buildings, our fields, and as you can imagine, our malting facility and equipment.
Our name starts with my grandfather, Walter Woynorowski. His do-it-yourself and go-getter attitude truly lives deep within our genes. More importantly, the hammer in our logo is an exact sketch of the one Walter owned before sadly leaving us in recent years. Walter's ability to 'go the extra mile' was easily seen by all; and in the tools he owned as well. That hammer had surpassed its life expectancy through a new handle, one of which ended up being a piece of hockey stick wrapped in electrical tape. That rusty old claw hammer continued to drive the family farm to success and truly reminds us how special our farm really is. We are excited and proud to have the opportunity to breathe new life and maybe even new meaning through something as simple as a hammer.
